John came to us desperate for some kind of relief. He revealed that he had already decided to “check out.” One of our discerning counselors let him talk all about why, listened with the compassion of Jesus, then guided him through all of the reasons he had to live. The most important was not just how he would hurt the people he loved, but that he had Christ in him to go through the problems he was facing. The counselor knew that this was an important part of letting John know there was hope, what every suicidal person needs to know. Before he left, he had jettisoned the idea of suicide. Praise God!
When he came in the next week, he was excited to be here and couldn’t wait to see what God was going to do in his life! At the end of the discipleship counseling sessions, he understood that he was as close to Christ as he could ever be. He also had received understanding from God through the Scriptures that Christ was his life, and he could rely on him to deal with whatever circumstances came his way. What Satan had intended for evil, God turned around and used it for good!
When John came, he had no money to give for his sessions. Yet, we urged him to come because there would be people who would give financially so he could be there. We said this by faith believing that God would provide through friends like you who love what Jesus is doing through GLI.
To help people like John and many others we see who cannot give for their counseling, classes or conferences, we are asking our Father to provide $1000 per month. If you do the math, that’s $12,000 per year. Last month, one person was so impressed by how Jesus is transforming lives through GLI, she gave a $1200 gift. She joined The Freedom Team, a team of people committed to helping others discover the freedom we have in Christ through GLI. We would like to see this type of giving the norm.
How about you? Since you are already a generous person in Christ, would you join The Freedom Team, too? We believe our Father is going to provide that $1000 we need per month to help all whom he is sending to us. You can give a special gift towards the $12,000 we need or give monthly as many others have.

Give Free in Christ,
