Knowing the truth regarding the New Covenant, also known as the gospel of grace, is one thing. It’s another to turn that truth into prayers that the Holy Spirit can use to encourage us in a special way. The following truths are ones I often pray myself and ask those I counsel to pray. Just as “David strengthened himself in the Lord his God,” we can, too, since we are in Christ.
God, because You love me, I love You.
God, because You love me, I love myself.
God, because You love my (name one – spouse, children, friend), I love my ___________.
_______
God, because You accept me, I accept You.
God, because You accept me, I accept myself.
God, because you accept my (name one – spouse, children, friend), I accept my ___________.
_______
God, because You value me, I worship You.
God, because You value me, I value myself.
God, because You value my (name one – spouse, children, friend), I value ___________.
_______
God, because You say I am secure, I thank You for being my Security.
God, because You say I am secure, I say, “I am secure.”
God, because you say my (name one – spouse, children, friend), I say, ” ___________ is secure.”
_______
God, because You say I belong, I say I belong to You.
God, because You say I belong, I say I belong.
God, because You say my (name one – spouse, children, friend) belongs, I say my ___________ belongs.
Praying these will take you about two minutes each day. So, please pray these simple prayers, and let’s see if you, like David, are encouraged in the Lord.
Please email me back and let me know how this goes for you!
