At Grace Life, we offer a safe place where individuals and couples can be open and real. In this environment, we use biblical principles to lovingly walk with couples into freedom, healing, and restoration. We call this discipleship counseling.
After 20 years of providing premarital counseling to couples, we believe that a Christian’s ability to love their spouse hinges upon walking in the reality of the New Covenant. Living in the promises of God’s grace can produce dramatic change, such as:

PREMARITAL COUNSELING FAQ’S
How do I start premarital counseling?
To begin discipleship counseling, call our main office in Charlotte at 704-522-9026 or email us to set up a consultation.
How long is a counseling session?
Regular counseling sessions are 50 minutes in length. To maximize the time, we ask clients to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment. At times, double sessions may be scheduled to deal with certain issues (with your approval).
How much does counseling cost?
Our premarital counseling services start with an initial consultation. Individual and couples counseling sessions are offered on a sliding monetary scale based on income. Contact us for the details.
What if I’m being abused by my partner or need crisis care for my children?
Grace Life International is not equipped for emergency crisis care. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, any type of abuse (physical, sexual, or emotional) or your kids are suffering from psychological distress or substance abuse, please take action today. We can help recommend other sources to get immediate help. Our discipleship counseling process can take time, and couples and families who need emergency care may not be able to wait. What if my partner will not join me for counseling?
We always prefer that your partner join you for premarital counseling to deal with relationship issues together. Encourage that individual to contact us directly if they have any questions or concerns. If the other person will not participate, we encourage you to start counseling by yourself to examine your own life and develop personal wholeness in God.
What if I’d like counseling but cannot start right away?
If you’re unsure about counseling or ready but waiting to get an appointment confirmed, we invite you to join our coed Grace Group or MUG (men under grace) Group. These groups are specifically designed to lay a Biblical foundation for you in a safe environment. They are ongoing groups that you can enter at any time regardless of what topic we are discussing that week. Many people begin to experience a measure of freedom and healing in these groups. These currently meet online each week regardless of where you live. Call our main office at 704-522-9024 for details about connecting with one of these groups.
What if I don’t live near any of the Grace Life offices?
We can help no matter where you live! Grace Life offers online counseling (using Skype, Zoom, etc.) for out-of-area clients who wish to engage with a discipleship counselor on a weekly basis. Our staff has remotely counseled people across America and around the world!
