Prayer Time 1/20/2022
Linda – low grade depression. My sister died a few years ago from a brain bleed. Lived in community or two years and made some friends but spending time by myself can be too much. Her struggles with her husband’s eating. Problems with heartburn and had an upper endoscopy- waiting on results and peace about it.
- Endoscopy Update 1/24/22: There is a growth on her esophagus that might be malignant. She has an appt (1/25) to talk about results, as the initial test was inconclusive. Please pray for clear test results and a good plan for future treatment. I must admit I am scared in a way I didn’t anticipate.
- 1/26/22 Update: Linda now is dealing with covid as well. Doctor has requested she get an infusion so prayers that she is able to get it.
Kim – housing disaster relief workers (Mennonite group) and Amish coming in February. Logistics of housing them and continuing their own ministry. Friend Lisa still struggling from covid – oxygen issues. I’m in an anxious cycle of doubt and dealing with the stress. Both my parents are in need of healthcare so travelling a lot between Illinois and Kentuck.
Suzanne – history last week made her embarrassed – prayer for seeing the blessing her life is! For 10 years I’ve been on chemo maintenance for cancer and it’s affected her memory. I worry about everything I say – prayers for peace and confidence in the Lord! Pray for my son Joe, (29) and has a terrible fear of getting covid. He’s working from home and no social life.
Mariceli – family has covid. My husband in second week out of work. Prayer for covid culture – for people to realize the fear is worse. Need wisdom for sending daughter to school or homeschool. Prayer that the decision comes from listening to the Holy Spirit and not fear of something else.
Karen – husband’s oldest son (todd and julie) is getting a divorce, its not good. Trying to develop new relationship with son, but my husband has dementia. Prayers for continued reconciliation with son. My brother left his wife (steve and Maryjo) – praying for reconciliation but my brother is fighting against God. I lead prayer ministry at church and the church is starting a new initiative – working to be a basecamp and take Christ back into or neighborhoods. I’m struggling with a lot of spiritual warfare and nightmares. Prayers for serving my husband well.
Valeta – mom lives in assisted living – close to each other, but she’s controlling and manipulates me to do the things she wants. Health not great- congestive heart failure and on a lot of medicine. I spend a lot of time helping my mom with physical needs and it’s a struggle setting boundaries. Causing anxiety and depression. I feel alone because everything is falling on me. I’m being pulled in lot of directions. Another health concern is sugar in urine, but not in blood. I need to loose some weight. My mom keeps saying she’s going to run out of money and she will have to go on Medicaid and does not want to share a room with someone- she wants to come back to my house. Wants to volunteer somewhere.
Gretchen – finding a church home and trusting God with my family. Navigating the “what’s next” and transition out of the ADT ministry.
Prayer Time 02/17/2022
Linda – Continued feelings for anxiety and low-grade depression regarding unanswered diagnosis from endoscopy. Another endoscopy scheduled for next week.
Gretchen – Work life – family life balance with new job and kids sports season starting.
