Many of us have this idea in the back of our minds that if we could improve ourselves, get it together, and become a better Christian or person, then God would love us more. That is a lie from Satan and this world system we live in and is totally contrary to the way God’s kingdom works. We are under a receiving grace system with God, not an achieving performance system.
No matter how broken you feel, how much you have failed, how much you don’t measure up to living like who you are in Christ, no matter how much you can’t stop that particular sin, our God loves you! No matter how much you improve, succeed, or achieve, it will not get his attention, so that he will love you more.
Here’s the best song I know on this beautiful truth.
“Jesus love me this I know, for the Bible tells me so.”
“Little ones to him belong; they are weak, but He is strong.”
“Yes, Jesus loves me.”
“Yes, Jesus loves me.”
“Yes, Jesus loves me.”
“For the Bible tells me so.”
Believe and enjoy God’s no-strings-attached love for you in Christ this Christmas! Now that’s what Christmas really is all about!
