I have a true confession. Though I am blessed to lead an awesome ministry and share with people about victory in Christ, there are still times when Satan kicks my butt! He knows my weaknesses such as my fleshly tendencies to worry about my missionary support, Grace Life International and my house’s foundation problems. Sometimes, Satan has put thoughts in my mind that play like a 3-D movie about the future of these issues and guess what? God is never a character in any of these movies! He doesn’t even make a cameo appearance. Talk about a horror film! I understand more and more that this is a place of spiritual warfare and the road to victory is the “grace way”.
Are you aware of Satan’s strategies against you? Jesus said of Satan in John 10:10 a, The thief comes to kill, steal and destroy. He greatly desires to kill you, steal everything he can from you and ultimately destroy you, even if it’s little by little.
Here’s the reality we must face. The moment we were born, we were plopped right smack dab in the middle of enemy territory. This territory is Satan’s kingdom. It is the world system which comes at us every day. Do you know what it does? It tries to keep us from enjoying the abundant life which arises from the love of our Father and the life of Christ in us! This is promised in John 10:10 b where Jesus went on to say, I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly.
So here’s the deal. We are in a truth struggle with Satan, not a power struggle. He’s lying to you about who God is, who you are, who people in your life are, and how to live your life.
