Does living as a Christian often feel like a burden rather than a blessing? If so, you are not alone. A great number of Christians around the world have not heard all the truth of the gospel. And partial truth means there are partial lies.
At GLI, we have been in several countries through the years ministering to Christians and we see the same issues as in the States. Those who are sincere about living for God, are often burdened with repeating themes such as unwarranted guilt, shame, anxiety and discouragement. It matters not what the culture is or the country. The majority are laboring under a great weight that Hebrews 12:1b tells us to get rid of, “…let us throw off everything that hinders…”

Jesus promised He would exchange the first two for the last one in Matthew 11:28-30, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
