Why So Much Anxiety and What to Do About it?

Forty million people in the USA suffer from ongoing anxiety in different degrees. Three hundred seventy-four million people around the world have also been reported as having anxiety, a 25% increase from 2022, according to Forbes Health*.

We have an upcoming event this weekend, November 3-4, Friday night and Saturday morning live via video conferencing from your home to deal with this issue called “Living Carefree from Anxiety,” which will be led by one of our staff members, Will Gunter. Will has personally dealt with anxiety, and from this, God has shown him that there are reasons, symptoms, and answers for you or someone you know. Will has six children, was a student pastor several years ago, and has been one of our counselors since 2017. Register HERE now!  If you can’t make it or can’t make all of it, the recording will be available after the conference for you to watch at any time.

Here are a few of the symptoms of anxiety.

  • Racing thoughts
  • Anxious dreams
  • Panic attacks
  • Some intestinal issues
  • Difficulty sleeping because the mind will not shut off
  • Consistent worry
  • Irritability often

In addition, let me share with you a few of the reasons for anxiety.

  • Trauma
  • Overwhelming circumstances
  • Abuse (verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual)
  • Not knowing and resting in your identity in Christ
  • Believing that living your life is all up to you.
  • Not feeling loveable, acceptable, valuable, secure, or belongable.
  • Brain chemistry needs that lack proper medication

Our Father shares these words with us because He knows we sometimes struggle with them but applying them isn’t always easy. That is why we have Christ in us to enable us.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Philippians 4:6-7 MSG

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 NLT

Our upcoming “Living Carefree from Anxiety Conference” via video conferencing from your home with Will is this Friday night and Saturday morning, November 3-4. So register now HERE and invite anyone you know who is dealing with any anxiety! Don’t forget! If you or someone you invite can’t make it or can’t make all of it, the recording will be available after the conference for you to watch at any time.
