VERY IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING VERY CAREFULLY
This training will be completed all online, via Zoom video conferencing. You will find a link to the zoom meeting on the counselor training dashboard.
To get the most out of this training, this class combines video teaching that needs to be watched PRIOR to each class (especially before week #1), which will allow more time for the practicum and Q&A during actual class time. Below, you will find links the videos (and your handouts) to watch prior to each week.
Here is a list of things to do in order to help you prepare for week 1:
1. Get organized immediately! Purchase a large 3-ring binder (1 inch or larger) so you can print and organize all your handouts and be ready to go before you watch the videos. If you are short on time, please print through LM0010 – M0081 prior to watching the videos below. Then, you can print the rest later, if needed.
2. Watch the videos in LESSON #1 and take notes. Follow along in your notebook. Be sure to complete all videos listed below BEFORE your first class. These videos are the core of the teaching and will prepare you for the practice time during class. There are about three hours to watch prior to week 1, so begin immediately.
3. Find the Zoom instructions on the dashboard. This link allows you to connect to our meeting via Zoom. You may need to download Zoom the first time.
Below are the handouts we will review during our upcoming lessons. They are also used in the Discipleship Counseling process.
You can download the lesson files individually by week or all at once by downloading and extracting the ZIP file below.
